Designed especially for the fabric-tucking technique, these patterns use large, simple shapes with minimal fiddly detail, making them a lovely introduction to Fabric Mosaic for beginners.

Each patterns are supplied as clean black-and-white line drawings ready to use. If you are buying on foam board then you just need to cut your lines using a craft knife.
If you don't have the Kinusaiga tools already, then add them to your order. Seam ripper, precision scissors and craft knife all come in an organza bag.

Our Woodland Collection has been designed around four much-loved woodland animals, each surrounded by a simple coordinating forest scene.
The designs have deliberately been kept uncomplicated, with bold shapes and clearly defined sections that translate beautifully into fabric.
Choose warm rusts and creams for your fox, woodland browns for your squirrel and deer, and soft neutrals for your owl - or completely reinvent them using fabrics from your own collection. Perfect for children's bedrooms - a wonderful hand made gift.

🧵 WHAT IS KINUSAIGA?
Kinusaiga is a fascinating Japanese textile art traditionally associated with giving beautiful pieces of kimono silk a new life.
Instead of sewing pieces of fabric together, fabric is placed over individual sections of a design and the edges are carefully tucked into grooves.
The finished result has the appearance of a wonderfully tactile combination of patchwork, textile art and mosaic.
At Box Clever Crafts, we call it Fabric Mosaic.
✂️ NO SEWING REQUIRED
No sewing machine.
No needles.
No complicated embroidery.
Fabric Mosaic is all about working with colour, fabric and texture.
Transfer your pattern onto suitable craft foam, create the grooves and gradually cover the individual sections with your chosen fabrics.
