Celebrate the colour, warmth and light of Diwali with our Festival of Lights Kinusaiga Collection from Box Clever Crafts.
Inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Kinusaiga, these designs are created by tucking pieces of fabric into the prepared lines of a foam board to gradually build a beautiful textile picture - no sewing required!
Designed with beginners in mind, each finished piece measures approximately 20cm x 20cm. We've deliberately kept the shapes bold and manageable, allowing beautiful fabrics, rich colours and contrasting textures to become the stars of your finished artwork.
Choose jewel-toned fabrics, beautiful prints, metallics or fabrics you already have in your collection and make each design completely your own.

What is Kinusaiga?
Kinusaiga is a Japanese textile art traditionally created by placing fabric into grooves to build an image.
Our modern Box Clever Crafts version makes the technique accessible at home. Simply choose your fabrics, cut them slightly larger than each section and gently tuck the edges into the prepared grooves.
Piece by piece, your picture begins to appear.
It's wonderfully absorbing, surprisingly simple and a fabulous way to turn beautiful scraps of fabric into something worth displaying.
